BELT SERVICE
Why do I need this Service?
Among all of the parts and pieces in your vehicle, belts and hoses have the shortest lifespan.
Drive Belts – The engine itself is used as a power source to drive some of your vehicle’s accessories, including your power steering, alternator, air conditioning compressor, radiator cooling fan and water pump. If your drive belts are damaged, there will be interruption in the performance of your vehicle.
Hoses – Hoses are used to deliver critical fluids to various destinations within your vehicle. Types of hoses vary on each make/model of vehicle, but typically include a fuel hose, radiator hose, power steering hose and heater hose.
Due to their constant exposure to heat, vibration and harmful chemicals, belts and hoses will deteriorate over time.
When do I need this Service?
It is important to follow your vehicle manufacturer’s recommendation for belt and hose inspections. The rule of thumb is to have your belts and hoses evaluated at each oil change.
What is the cost of this Service?
Belt and hose repairs/replacements vary in price depending on what is required and the make/model of your vehicle.
The professionals at Done-Rite Tire & Auto will perform a thorough inspection of your belts and hoses that includes the following:
